The first camera I owned in my life was a Zenith 122. A Russian made camera which was gifted to me by my mother. I was 14 back then, and I remember that the first shot that I actually captured in my life time had nothing on it – a blank image.
Hears went by and I switched to digital photography for commercial photography reasons although my first love always remained to be filming on 35 mm positives. Yet another twist came into being when I made a transition into the field of glamour and fashion photography with the guidance of my close friend Nirosha Perera (media personality) With fashion and glamour photography I was exposed to a whole new aspect of photography that gave me greater space to experiment and gain knowledge and certain ideas that I hadn't realized existed.
